The Hoge Starks Ward Celebrity Golf Classic for Children helps raise awareness and funding for the Caring Foundation. Merril Hoge, Hines Ward, and Max Starks invited Steelers coaches and players and other local celebrities to play at the Southpointe Golf Club for the annual event.

Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert was honored at the 40th annual Art Rooney Award Dinner. The event helps raise money for the Catholic Youth Association.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley was honored at the 15th Annual Mel Blount Youth Home All-Star Celebrity Roast. The annual dinner benefits the Mel Blount Youth Home which provides treatment for young males who are victims of child abuse and neglect.

The 2013 Muscle Team event was held at Heinz Field to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Pittsburgh Steelers players and city firefighters teamed up with young MDA Goodwill Ambassadors for a night of fun and games.
