PRO (72-10/2-1): Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Brice McCain signed a one-year contract with the Steelers on April 1, 2014…released by the Houston Texans on March 11, 2014…re-signed with the Texans as an unrestricted free agent on March 20, 2013…declared a free agent on March 12, 2013…placed on the Reserve/Injured; Designated for Return List on December 4, 2012 with a foot injury…signed a contract with Houston on June 8, 2009…originally selected by the Texans in the sixth round (188th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE: Played in 49 games and made 39 starts in four seasons at Utah…earned all-Mountain West Conference honors as a defensive back in (2007-08) and as a kick returner (2006)…finished his career with 103 total tackles…his 21 career passes defensed are tied for sixth in school history…returned 37 kickoffs (ninth in school history) in his career for 847 yards (11th in school history)…economics major. 2008: Started all 13 games at cornerback and earned first-team all-conference honors…finished the season with 35 tackles, five passes defensed and one interception. 2007: Started all 13 games and earned second-team all-MWC honors…finished the season with 11 passes defensed, which ranked third in the conference and is tied for fifth-best in a single-season in school history…recorded 28 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble…registered four passes defensed against New Mexico, which tied the school’s single-game record. 2006: Played in 13 games and made 12 starts…honorable mention all-conference honors as a kick returner…led the team with five passes defensed…finished the season with 28 tackles…averaged 22.4 yards per kick return, which ranked fourth in the conference. 2005: Appeared in 10 games as a true freshman and made one start…finished the season with 12 total tackles…earned academic all-MWC honors.

PERSONAL: Graduate of Terrell High School (Terrell, Texas)…earned all-state and all-area honors…named all-district as a running back and a defensive back…named county and team MVP…also lettered in basketball and track, and was part of a 400-meter relay team that finished second in the state…son of Darrell Brockins and Tammie McCain.
