Seven-time men’s champion Jed Christiansen of Grove City finished first with a time of 14:48. The women’s winner was Jennifer Bigham of Pittsburgh with a time of 16:53.

Christopher Garman of Castle Shannon repeated as the Nose Tackle winner. Craig Woshner of Winchester, Va. Repeated as the male master (over 40) while Lisa Lucas from Upper St. Clair, Pa. was female masters champion. In the corporate team competition, Fleet Feet (small company up to 99 employees) and Highmark (1000+ employees) both repeated in their respective divisions. Diamond Pharmacy won the medium category (100-999 employees).
The race benefits the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund which annually provides a grant to a Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic student and funds the Pittsburgh Promise scholarships for two Perry High School students. Alan Faneca, former Steelers All-Pro guard, served as honorary captain and was joined by his son, Burton.
In addition to Gatorade, sponsors included Giant Eagle, Dick’s Sporting Goods, NIKE, UPMC Centers for Rehab Services, KDKA, WDVE, and ESPN 970 Radio.
